Turn your head. Your screen changes the subject.

TurnTab reads the motion sensors in your AirPods. Turn to whoever’s walking up and your Mac switches to work, or frosts over. Look back and carry on.

0°

Left for work. Right for play.

Give each direction an app or a Chrome tab. Turn past 25° and hold for a quarter of a second: it comes forward and everything else hides. Look back and you’re where you were.

Each turn does what you pick.

An app, a Chrome tab, or a few steps in a row. Hide or minimise the rest, and go back when you look back. Use either side, or both.

When I look back

Turn away and it frosts over.

The side you turn away from blurs first, and the blur sweeps across as you keep turning. Look back and it clears. On its own, or alongside switching.

That’s the real thing. Here it is on a Mac, recorded straight off the screen.

Wherever you look away.

Lunch break, someone calls your name.
On the train, you look out of the window.

Your AirPods, not a camera.

TurnTab reads the same motion sensors Spatial Audio uses. It sees which way your head points, not your eyes, and your head-motion data stays on your Mac.

Questions

Which headphones work?

Any Apple or Beats headphones with head tracking for Spatial Audio: AirPods Pro, AirPods 3 and 4, AirPods Max, Beats Fit Pro, Beats Studio Pro and Powerbeats Pro 2. They just need to be connected to your Mac.

Is my head tracked by a camera?

No. TurnTab reads the motion sensors already inside your AirPods, the same ones Spatial Audio uses. It sees which way your head points, not where your eyes look. No camera, no microphone, and your head-motion data never leaves your Mac.

What happens if my AirPods switch to my iPhone?

TurnTab pauses itself and waits. When they’re back on your Mac, nod twice or press ⌃⌥⌘C to recentre. It never moves your centre on its own, so nothing fires by surprise.

Will it fire when I just glance away?

Only if you want it to. You set how far you turn and how long you hold it, and slow drift is filtered out while your head is still.

Can I try it first?

The download runs head tracking, so you can check your AirPods work with your Mac before you buy. Switching and the blur unlock with a key, and if it isn’t for you there’s a 7-day refund.

How does the license work?

One payment, no subscription, no account. Your key arrives by email and unlocks TurnTab on two Macs. It works offline too; TurnTab checks in when it can.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If TurnTab isn’t for you, email us within 7 days of buying and we’ll refund you in full.

What does it need from my Mac?

macOS Sonoma or later on Apple silicon or Intel. Motion & Fitness access to read your AirPods. Switching browser tabs asks for Automation, and minimising windows asks for Accessibility, only when you use them.
